I've added a few more wild millepora to my collection for my future spawning efforts. It's amazing how lame they look right after importing them and how amazing they look after they have adjusted to captivity

My baby gold torches are growing up so quickly! And every time I move a rock or look in the shadows I'm finding more. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about all of them.

If anyone was curious what seahare eggs looked like….. sheesh, I can’t imagine how she feels after pushing all of these out

My wife flipped out when my 2 sooty seahares in the 500 laid eggs. I was out of town and got a call about tons of spaghetti noodles in the tank. She thought my niece (6 years old) tried to feed the fish her favorite food lol.

Awesome! What are you going to do with the tube?
I have them in a couple of tanks with substrate for them to settle on. I had a second coral spawn in my DT, but because I was so distracted by the Euphyllia glabrescens I was not able to identify the parent colony. I collected what I could from the surface of the water and added it to the “nursery” tank and hope it was another Euphyllia colony.

Holy cow what a night last night! Spawning kicked off around 7:30 and wrapped up around 1:00 am. I witnessed the spawn of CB Maleficent, Z’s Blue Floyd, RR the vinh, RMF candy land, northern lights stag, some random acro table, a stag I don’t know the name of, and 4 different milles both wild aussies and Indo mari. I collected what I could and did my best to mix the milles and species that had the best chance of fertilizing just based on appearance of being similar species.

Good signs so far in terms of some successful fertilization…

That's awesome you've been on quite the run lately! Are you doing anything special with lighting schedules?

Time to get some tiles in where those fertilized eggs are!

Yes, and I wish Ecotech would drop the whole Mobius kick and allow their lights to integrate with Apex again. I change the sunrise and sunset times in the seasonal tables of the Apex, but Radions V5 and up don’t integrate with the Apex.

Millepora larvae development day 4, lots of movement now and the shapes are becoming more irregular.

The euphyllia larvae are moving a lot too and I’ve witnessed that in no water movement they tend to gravitate towards on another and then stay paired up. Could be random chance or something more fascinating happening here.

So cool to see. I assume you're using a scope for pics?
