This basement looks neat! I’m amazed how you can take care of all these setups and we struggle with a fraction of what you have [emoji23]

today is exactly one year since my tank seam failed

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/maroun-c-390-g-build-thread.60956/page-16#post-3656473

soon after replacing the tank and refilling it (Feb-Mar 2017) I had a velvet outbreak which cost me half of my fish and caused me to delay any new additions for months

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/maroun-c-390-g-build-thread.60956/page-18#post-3746670

unfortunately since then I was too busy to update this thread regularly. which I'll try to do more regularly going forward.

here's how the tank looks now

Now for some of the lately added fish.

Rubeus wrass. more of an impulse buy but looks nice so far.

Rubrisquamis,
I lost my old rubrisquamis more than a year ago and loved how much character nd color he added to the tank. so added this one. Still has a long way to get final male colors.

also added an exuisite to replace one I had and which I also lost to jumping before adding a screen.

around 3-4 months back I added 4 Pyramid butterflies and they have since then become the highlight of the tank.

Chocolate tank to replace the pair I previously had. those were great at picking algae all day long and looked nicer as they grew larger. might try to add a second one in the future as well.

After loosing my bellus pair in the velvet outbreak and after way to much bad luck with Geniacanthus species for some weird reason I finally got lucky with 2 semifasciatus females. they were initially a trip with a nice male which got a sever eye infection for weeks in Qt and I couldn't cure him till he diesd after being blind for weeks. Not sure if Ill add a third female to get a trio. can't wait for one to turn male.

Alright just read all 20 pages of this thread, and all i can say is WOW, what a roller coaster of a thread, I can't recall being so impressed, and so depressed all in one thread. What an amazing build, I looking forward to following along in the future. Thank you for sharing this journey.

Are u sure that wrasse is not a blue throat aka sailfin?

Looks exactly like mine

Loveing the photos keep them coming
Thanks. Few more shots of the wrasses flashing coming soon ;)
Do u mean the tonozukai? Yes it's commonly known as blue throat or Sailfin.
How's yours behaving hope it's not very aggressive towards other wrasses as I believe they can be.

Thanks for taking the time. Yes the tank has had its ups and downs (many time more downs) but again that's how tanks go and I believe build threads should always focus on the pitfalls so others can learn from them as well as celebrate the happy times where the tank is doing great.

It’s nice to see there are reefing options in Lebanon. Are you in Beirut?

Thanks. There sure is. I've been running tanks since 199iband there has been many old and more new reefers. It's still of course a tiny community compared to the US. Quality has been picking up lately so we get more quality equipment and livestock still no where as good as where the US is. My tank isn't the best examples as many fish and corals where bought while on travel.
I'm in Ain Saadeh (around 6-7 KM or 4-5 miles from Beirut) have u been to the country? Let me know if u are ever around :)
I now live in Dubai but the tank is still running in Beirut maintained by my wife and I'm there for few days every couple weeks.

My mother is in Ajaltoun. I haven’t been back for a few years though.

Your fish are gorgeous. Based on them I have to assume you primarily travel to a beach in Tahiti.

Time for a visit then ;)
I love ajaltoun in winter time.

Would love to travel to Tahiti :) but my fish mostly come from Europe and located a few from special shipments in dubai. I've gotten few corals from travel to US but no fish.
Let us knowing u ever fly home.
