What are the cons to these fish? Once eating prepared food, do they still mow down aiptasia?

Let's hear it ya'll

Doing quite well

Yes. I checked and found no problems. There are two types of Aiptasia brown and green. I have the green type. Mostly in the sand bed. Between my File fish and my copper band butterfly I have it under control. Thanks

@vic5hands this fish the more I look into fits 2 different categories for me: likes aiptasia and is a bit of an oddity/different. Thanks for the info needed to make a decision.

I was just looking at these, just like flame angels and coral beauties I guess they're a hit or miss. Bluezoo did a nice little write up on them as well. I'm just going to suck it up and get a dozen or so berghi nudi's and wait it out.

I have one and he has decimated my aiptasia population to nill. Dude/Girl whatever the sex maybe , is a stud. He eats mysis and brine frozen. Havent seen him nip at anything.

Yea from everything else I've read, Berghia's are the way to go. They may take a little time to build population but once they do, they decimate apstasia's! Luckily I only need three to take care of my problem.

My file fish wiped out my aiptasia and is an interesting addition to the tank but he does like to go after shrimp, small snails and hermit crabs. He also picks at and eventually eats starfish. So you may need to watch your cleanup crew but you won't have an aiptasia problem.

Some specimens don't eat aiptasia, but most do. I have about half of the specimens nip zoas, fleshy brain vorals, duncans and clams.

Acreichthys tomentosus i had meant to be an aipstasia killer but seemed to like the frozen more than anything else. Seems to be hit and miss with some sp.was a nice fish though never ate coral.

Are these fish weak to any kind of medication? Only thing I like to use is Prazipro and ttm.

Prazi will be fine, if you you were to to use copper or quick cure, cut the dose in half.
