I thought I need to light acclimate it?

Where do you recommend I place it? Also, how can I position to view it?

Light acclimation is fine, more so for smaller clams. That's not going to change the amount of light that type of clam needs to thrive. I would find a nice spot halfway up and go from there.

I wouldn't really be to worried about light acclimation unless it was like 1" long. This bad boy has been living under sunlight in pretty shallow water for many years, and can close up if it gets enough light. Now if I was putting it under 1,000 PAR or more I might take a week to get there, or just watch it carefully to see how it reacts.
