ok folks I have 2 230 gyre..would love some help on a schedule for flow..right now I’m using the preset ltc at 60%. I see so much more that these pumps can do. First I tried YouTube videos and google but could not find anything. Read the manuals which seems to be a little frustrating...

put a small airstone and air pump in your tank and play with the different settings individually. write down what works well and then program a couple of different modes to cycle through out the day. I think my two gyres go through about 8 different settings throughout the day.

watch the videos on youtube then just dive in. realize the maxspect manual is useless. lol

With the ICV6 you get a ton of different setting and the flow can be set to be really random and nice.

I just use the OGC pre-set. I saw that you have been using the LTR. I have 2 250's on a 5x2x2 mixed reef and my acros have decent PE and color. It's tricky when you have a mixed reef to not blast my torches and hammer too much but get adequate flow for my acros. My other Pavona, psammy, and monti's are doing great too. Not sure that is your problem with the SPS.

I agree with you :)....... I just bought the 350 x2. So - if you buy the 'ivc6' controller - you can then control the gyres from your phone - programming is much simpler and easier than using the controller that comes with it - I would suggest that (its 49.99).

I would also suggest @CoralVue as much as I like the production quality of their videos - I nice one page 'installation' webpage would be much more informative for installing and programming. Use the videos to show the features. to me (just constructive criticism/advice) - a PDF is a lot easier to go through than a video.... Overall its a great product:)
