I’ve had this maxspect sk200 running about 2 weeks - it worked absolutely fine, silent etc. then I put it on a feeding break and since then it’s been nothing but issues. There seems to be a problem with the air draw I think… but it basically can’t keep an even air drawn water mix to skim properly. It sounds as if the pump itself is struggling at times (though that might just be when the air mix changes)

There’s no blockage in the air intake, there’s nothing on the needle wheel, it seems to be sealing properly around the base, all the bungs etc are seated properly around the base and intakes - its band new and sparking clean, no debris etc. I’ve been back and fourth with the place I brought it online new from - they keep telling me to do xyz but I keep telling them that nothing they suggest seems to be working. Can anyone shed some light? Or help at all? It’s so frustrating. I’ve had it apart and tried a million different things. It’s happening on both side intakes 😩

I have one of those, it does the same, I thought it was normal, the first week of use was doing fine, the water level in the cup was just at the neck base with the controller in 3, now i have to put the controller in 1 and lower the sump level and the water is in the middle of the cup...it skimming well but sometimes it overflow

I will do a maintenance tomorrow to check that. also verify if the inlets are not too close of the sump wall.
