Thanks for the pictures. Just odd that they wouldn’t give the RO tubing with a shutoff valve so you can easily disconnect the ATO and remove it to service the refugium.

Since it’s a small ATO, they probably wanted the sensor in the ATO to warn you before it’s empty.

The aquarium arrived about an hour ago. I only opened the boxes so far to look at everything. This has to be the nicest aquarium and equipment, quality wise that I have ever owned or seen in person.

Truly impressed!

Setup wont happen until Friday, so I’ll check for that piece and report back. I’m excited to see how everything works together with the control center and flow of the sump. Happy to have a refugium again.

I was going to transfer my rock from my Max nano peninsula, but had extra rock in the basement and one thing led to another and another scape was born:) So I’m going to start this tank fresh and transfer coral slowly once cycled. The new scape just has more room for coral placement.

These aquariums were pricey when first released, but when you look at the quality of everything along with them including $1000 in equipment, the price isn’t as hard to swallow. The design of this tank where all the equipment is plugged in and managed from the power center is incredibly cool and I hope other manufacturers follow suit. The rats nest of wire with previous aquariums got really old when maintaining equipment.

Really nice job Maxspect!

I received a whole extra stand basically. The packaging I guess bled over onto the white of the stand so they sent extra side pieces and door. Mine wasn’t bad so I didn’t even open those boxes lol.

Bummer, the Klir filter roller doesn't quite fit in the LS-060 sump.

Do we dare trim the sump to fit it? I was thinking of buying the RM Nano.
I thought about trimming to fit as well. It could be done if you're willing to make the sump.

I wondered about the Red Sea Nano as well. I need to look up dimensions. It would probably be slightly undersized. I think flow rate in that is something like 350gph

Yeah it’s less than that like 250gph

Reefmat 250 says it's 6.3 x 7.9
Reefmat Nano is 3.5 x 3.5
Klir 4" is 4.125 x 4.125 according to the Internet. I did not measure mine.

Reefmat 250 would be too hard to plumb in I feel. So nano would be the way to go for just a drop in option like the Klir.

I'm a little confused how the nano would work in a 4" sock hole being 3.5 x 3.5 overall. 🤔

Hi guys, I just set my LS-060 up last weekend and am fine tuning it still! I'm glad to find others that bought this system as they don't seem to be very popular. Maybe the $3k price tag turned people off, but the sale price sounds like it grabbed a lot of people's attention!

I did all the same equipment you did. The ATO is cute, but I'm finding I'm refilling the 1.5g tank daily. I thought about using the gravity feed, but had a brand new Tunze that I wanted to use, and that's been a good experience. You have to run the tubing to the display tank though as it will siphon out if you pump to the sump below.

I'm not terribly thrilled by the app. I wish it had scheduling capabilities for the gyre and the skimmer, but they're just on and off. The light hooked up easily and that's pretty easy to figure out.

I have the return pumps on 8, the skimmer on 1. The gyre was throwing sand everywhere on 10% so I took on of the props off and capped it and it's much more manageable and I can run it at 20% without blowing everything around.

Looking forward to sharing our experiences with our builds!

Oh yea - keep an eye on your orange tubing when you get the pump running. Both return pipes leaked for me. Thankfully, they just leak into the sump, so still functional. I'm resealing tomorrow so hopefully that will be fixed.

I think the only way I'd use the integrated ATO container is if I could plumb it to my RODI reservoir to automatically refill as needed.
