I’ve considered those for awhile, I saw them at MACNA last year and really like them! I’m not sure how well they would work for my setup though - the display area is very narrow front to back, and if I add the extra piece it may end up just directing at the glass. I’d have to play around with it a bit, but for now I’ve added the airstone, so I can see how much of the problem is my tank’s aeration. It may just be that I have high CO2 in my room. But I’m definitely considering trying the random flow generator!
Shoot them an email. I'd love to hear Vivid's input. My son is working on a 3g that it would be excellent for as well.

We went down to Orlando for the weekend, and got to stop by Top Shelf Aquatics for the first time. It was amazing! Great selection, and amazing service. They gave us a tour of their new warehouse, and I’m very excited to see them grow.
Of course I couldn’t help but pick up a few things! A pom pom crab, an unidentified favia, and a TSA Solar Flare Micromussa frag. They all seem to have acclimated well, feeder tentacles were out when the lights came on!

The babies are getting even more of that gold/green color! Looks like they’re all getting five spots. It had outgrown the frag plug so I moved it onto a bigger one, the heads around the bottom have already opened up bigger!

Well basically all Acan Lord's are in the classification of Micro's as of like 2 years ago now.

Basically the same coral just smaller heads. Your Acan's look good. If you aren't already, feed those suckers 2-3 times a week with some good fatty foods and watch them explode in color and growth.

Yeah that’s true, I’m just stuck on the old names lol. And I haven’t seen any shorthand to distinguish M. Amakusensis from M. Lordhowensis.

they’ve started getting LRS Reef Frenzy and Rod’s Tentacle Teasers target fed weekly on top of the fish’s food they catch daily, but I think I’m going to up it. They’re always ready to eat

Tidal Gardens has a decent video on it on YouTube.

When I had my 30+ mini colony garden in my old nano,I fed every poylp 2-3 a week with a mixture of RS A & B,LPS Max,Reef Roids and Acropower. It was a pain but WOW,the results was amazing. I had just a brown and green Acan and turned into a crazy rainbow piece. Was getting about 90-100 par with good flow and the biggest polyps I got was about 1 3/4"-2".

I’ve got a Salifert test kit coming in for Ca/Alk/Mg coming in tomorrow, so we’ll see where those are at. Looking at getting into dosing if it’s needed, something I haven’t done yet!

I highly doubt you will have to dose a lot unless you have a bunch of sps. What percentage of water changes are you doing and how often ?

I’m looking to keep mainly lps with maybe a couple sps. Less than 3% water change once or twice a week.
I’ve started a separate thread to discuss this and brainstorm ideas.

I feel like you would have a better rate of replenishment at say 25% weekly honestly. Depending on the salt, and with lps being slower consumers of elements especially the main 3 I feel like dosing would kinda be out of question. Now if you were going full blown acro's like I am it may be an issue.

But even with my 2g wanting to be all acro's I feel like 50-75% wc's weekly would be suffice until everything starts to take off.

my original plan was to do 15% wc daily, but my nitrates with the current schedule stay steadily at 3-4ppm, and I don’t want to remove that by changing a lot of water.

Everything tested low, I’m using the Salifert tests. I may try doing a 25 or 50% wc and see how they’re effected.
Ca - 375ppm
KH - 7.7 dKH
Mg - 1260ppm

One of the barnacle blennies got a cloudy eye a few days ago. I’m not sure if it was an injury or infection, but I decided to give it chance to heal on its own. First picture is Sunday when I first noticed it, second picture is today (Tuesday). Looks hopeful, but I’ll still be watching closely. No other symptoms other than slightly impaired vision.
