Medical Dosing Pump as Auto Water Change Pump

I know people use these pumps to dose 2 parts for their tank. I was wondering is it possible to set one of these up to do an auto water change on your tank? One line drawing out of your sump and another drawing out of a fresh saltwater vat and putting it into the sump? Anyone know or do this? If so can you shed some light on how to do it?

Hmm....maybe I am missing something but it just....well....I guess it would work...

I think you would want a double line head for the unit. This way you are replacing exactly what you remove.

After re-reading your post it looks like that is what you are referring to. I've heard of people on RC using them just for this. One of the guys in my local club was going to go with one of these setups to do exactly this. I'll have to ask him how it worked out.

Yeah there are several people whom do that over there and another guy I know who is doing it in our club but he is using a different pump than what I may be using. Yes it would have to be a double headed unit in order to do it. Was just wondering how to actually set it up. Or if its something one just needs to play with first in order to get it to work.
