The riser is from Makerworld ( AMS Riser V3 for P2S ) I started printing another one and did not like how it was printing and moved to this one that printed great and fits perfect. This one used less filament as well. Used PETG space grey and black.

Yes, second print was a poop shoot. Need to get magnets to keep it in place. I have it taped now.

The device to the right is a cheap dryer I got off amazon since I didn't have the AMS. Holds 2 roles and works really well. I think it does a better job than the AMS drying and it's only $60. ( Comgrow Filament Dryer Box )

Yes the 2 containers are rechargeable desiccant.
That is a nice riser. However, I have chosen to print a different one. Mine, of course, will be better than yours. LOL! It is a long print but I am excited about getting it done!

Also, I might suggest getting a low-profile flash drive. I am using a Samsung. I am generally a pretty careful person but the last thing I wanted happening is getting something hung up on the flash drive and breaking something. Like I said, just a suggestion.

I sent her a text today while I am at work and told her I really want a 3d Printer, specifically the P2S Combo. Her response was "Okay!"

Would you take that as permission?? 🤣
It's been several hours and I hope you are setting up your new printer! If not, I sure hope you ordered one, at least.

Good thought on the low profile drive. This is one I had laying around but will follow through with your suggestion.

I was doing this riser (most downloads) but the supports made the finish look like crap in the back. Looooong print too which I didn't mind. That's why I decided to go another route. I had only printed one of the big sections when I switched.

Good luck with the print!

That is the one I am printing now. I liked it because it's two colors. It's printing one of that large sections now. Started it around 7:30 this morning. I think it will finish around 7:30 tomorrow morning.

As far as the supports; I am not fully understanding why it is incorporating so many on such a solid piece but will find out once it's finished.

The piece I printed was SOLID. But it looked like crap in the back. I saw a few comments about the same thing. Most say it's in the back so it doesn't bother them. It's probably just a noob setting on my part. I hope you're comes out perfect!

Hello all. It's been a bit and I've finally designed and installed my first 3D printed reef accessory.

My Neptune AFS (auto feeder) sits on my lid and feeds through the mesh. Everytime I have to take off the lid, I have to remove the feeder and put it elsewhere. Last night I had to take the lid off and the feeder fell for the last time. Today, I designed and installed this feeder platform for it. It's specifically designed to bolt onto the Reefbreeders BOT arms and works perfect. I'm very happy with the results.

Here's a bunch of pictures to get the visual. Happy reefing all and just incase you were wondering, the tank is doing great and will update with some photos soon.

Thanks man. How's your riser coming along? Have you finished it up?
Not yet. I got sidetracked with some other prints and put it on pause. However, I started back at it tonight.

A couple of pictures just to update things. I submitted the mushroom picture in this months photo contest. The next picture is of my birdsnest that I will need to frag or break up. It's taking over. It's about an 8" to 10" ball now.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Quick tank update with quick pics.

It's been just over 4 months with this tank and fortunately still doing very well. All is healthy and growing nicely. Turned the whites up for the pics.

A few new photos I took today. 139 days since established. March 9th will be it's 5 month anniversary.

Acros are doing nicely despite elevated nutrients. PO4 sits at about .18 - .20 and NO3 at 18 - 20. KH about 8.3, CAL at 440, MAG 1400. All very stable with daily AWC (8% of total volume a week) and currently daily dosing 105 ml of Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride along with 210 ml of Part C. I also add A- and K+ trace in the Soda and Calcium.

I got worried for a second there that we were going to see you standing in the tide at some beach.

Corals are looking quite happy. Stability = happiness.
