Megabite's 180 Reef - Round 2

Thank you for the offer. I have a 3/4" thick acrylic tank with bracing. Would likely need to suction cup it or hang it on a clip for mine.
Give me an exact measurement from glass to edge of brace and brace thickness. I have an idea.

I will as soon as I get the specs from Tsunami. 😁 You rock man!

I'm really having fun with the printer and more so with design. I made this sensor mount for the Apogee to go on my existing wand.

I think the designing is every bit as much fun as the printing! So cool being able to have an idea and make it reality!

Thats awesome. Looks perfect. 🤌

Im going to be working on figuring out a clean way to mount a reefmat 1200 to 1.5 inch sch 40 pvc pipe. I saw that Synergy Reef makes an adapter for exactly this purpose, sadly they dont respond to any attempts to contact them. 🤔 Wonder if they 3d-print theirs.

Thanks.

The ReefMat comes with adapters if I recall correctly. Just not sure it comes with one for a 1.5” pipe. If not, BRS has a ton of metric to standard pipe adapters.

Trying something new to me.

My PH has never been ideal no matter if windows are open or bringing in outside air through the skimmer (that I currently do). I dose BRS 2 part + part C and currently dosing 135 ml Soda Ash and Calcium to keep my ALK at 8+ and CAL in the 400+ range. As you can see from the chart, my PH doesn't even break 8 at peak and dips below 7.8 nights. I was adding the soda ash from 12:30 AM to 9 AM.

As of tonight starting at 9:00 PM I'm replacing the Soda Ash with Sodium Hydroxide and continue dosing the same amounts. The mixture is 283g per gallon of Sodium Hydroxide that should be the equivalent of my Soda Ash mixture. The difference is the Sodium Hydroxide is supposed to boost the PH by about .2. If it does that, I will be a happy camper. I'm going to add the Sodium Hydroxide from 9 PM to 9AM.

Hope this helps without crashing the tank!

I may have missed it but are you scrubbing co2 also?

I am not. I'm already bringing in outside air through skimmer and didn't want to deal with changing out the media in a scrubber every week.

The evening's here and the blues are kickin'. Tangs are waiting for me to release that last bit of Nori on the clip before taking it out. The tank just looked nice so I took a quick pic to share it here.

You're welcome!

If you'd like me to check a certain mix, let me know and will do the same test with channel mix. The only thing I can't change (or won't 😁 ) is change light height.

I may take you up on that! Thank you for the offer!

You got it. If you check out the 90% intensity vid you will see that my Sailfin wasn't having it. He was ticked and flashing the sensor. I had to give him a little push.

I see how it is now. Zack gets a, "You're welcome" and I get shunned. That's it. I'm signing off to spend time with my wife now. I hope you feel all high and mighty now.

I think you posted while I was typing. I retract my comment and applaud you for the kindness and generosity in acknowledging my existance. However, I am still going to spend time with my wife because she's prettier than you.
