Johnstone supply, or RSD there in salt lake :) but you have to have an account.

Best bet is to order online, i would recommend supplyhouse.com Their prices are pretty close to what i can get stuff at wholesale and they have quality stuff. I personally prefer Mars brand for what that is worth.

Agree! They also have all kinds of cool pvc fittings you never knew existed. Long sweep 90s, 22.5 degree fittings, etc. I’ve bought most of my plumbing fittings from them and pvc online. Good prices as well.

I have bought other things from them in the past. The last thing being a new burner/ gas valve for my water heater because the manufacturer refused to honor their own warranty and kept blaming everything else for the water heater not staying lit.

Thursday AD update. A few new tips and polyps, but a bit slower it seams with the reduced lights for a couple of days due to AC going on and the continued battle with the Dino's.

I'm surprised. They've always made good water heaters.

Yeah, I'm not impressed. I will never own another one of their products nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

Just a quick update. Dinos are still kicking my butt. Very frustrating. I've done just about everything I've read and still they are pretty thick in the sandbed mostly but have krept up to the rock in some places as well. I'm doing 24/7 UV, dosing silicates and bacteria, added a large amount of pods and been adding Phyto as well. Vacuumed them up quite a few times and left the sandbed alone as well for a week at a time. Nothing seems to be working.

My nutrients are good. Tested today and PO4 is at .21 and NO3 at 16.5. Corals seem largely unaffected, but seeing some stress here and there. I'm not sure if it's the Dinos or all the stuff I've done and added.

I'm going to stop doing stuff other than phyto, continue running UV, and I purchased a sandbed UV that should be here soon to try something new.

These things have been VERY stubborn to get rid of. Been dealing with them for close to two months now.

Have you tried manual removal via filter pad in high light/ high flow area and cleaning it twice a day?

UV direct in DT or elsewhere? Turning off while dosing bacteria?

Once you get the Uv sand sweeper use it daily. They will disappear mostly by day 3-4? Then I used a syringe and pumped the TM nitribiotic into the sand. Also used DIY coral snow with the nitribiotic after a heavy cleaning. This is assuming your Dino’s are mostly sand based like mine were? This took multiple rounds! And sadly a while to start seeing results.

The filter pad works by catching them while/if they’re free swimming at night lights off while they’re searching for light. But sounds like you’re dealing with sand based Dino’s. Some will leave the sand at night and be able to be trapped and removed but never had great luck with that method. You have uv running which should target the free swimmer cells.

Sadly most all sand Dino outbreaks all have one thing in common. Special grade sand. I’m sure you’ve read MoeK’s articles here (who makes the Uv sweeper) but most outbreaks result in people saying they have special grade sand. Including myself

Ime its like a magnet,its prime Dino growing grounds. But ive never scoped them- they were gone in 3 weeks.
Just try it. put a pice of pad in a algea clip, at the surface in high flow, for a few hours- see if it catches anything.

Agree won’t hurt! But doesn’t do much for sand dwellers. I ran a marineland magnum internal canister filter. Same concept as a pad. This was round 1 of Dino’s I had? But 12 hours over night caught a bunch! But these were Ostreopsis Dino’s then.
