Ethiopian Yirgacheffe to a second crack and then slightly further to release a little more of the oils is a favorite of mine when I decide to roast my own coffee beans from green. I've had a couple of cups of Yirgacheffe that was pre roasted. Still good but it seems to miss some of the chocolatey flavors that I find with the fresher roasted Yirgacheffe beans.

That's cool. I've never tried roasting my own beans. That may be something I may want to try in the future.

Is this source any good for beans? Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

I don't know. I always bought green coffee beans off Amazon...

I think Sweet Maria's was the other site I used.

I use an older popcorn popper when I roast instead of the coffee bean roasters. If you're interested, get one of the ones with the side vents rather than the screened bottom vent. It does a better job of keeping them stirring while roasting for a better, more even roast across the batch. I was roasting around an 1/8th of a cup per batch.

Nothing interesting. A blended variety of two different locations.

Central America and Brazil. It's a medium roast Donut Shop with a strong flavor. Not fruity, not super smooth, but a good flavor. Maybe some molasses undertones.

You guys have to try Kona coffee with coconut . The stuff they sell around here is only 10 percent but if you find 100 % you’ll die for it . It is so good probably my favorite

I think my peppermint shrimp hide from the aiptasia. They've never done anything for me.

Are they true peppermint shrimp ?

That’s my concern. I’m starting to have an aiptasia issue and haven’t had luck with a CB. My tang gang and especially the Sailfin below isn’t having it. Constant chase. Was considering a Stripey for control.

The CBB is no more. Tried twice and only lasted a couple of months. Didn’t want to do it again. They could never relax with the Sailfin in there.

I’ve wondered if there’s something in my tank that keeps them from doing it. Heck, the last one left sits atop of the gyre pump no where near the rock.
