Meridian 45 rolling pattern using camera

Reefbreeders got back to me. I'll just paste the reply below. The flickering is an inconvenience but not a huge deal. I guess if I was a video content creator it could be a bigger concern.

Your newer Meridian 45 uses a different driver timing profile than the older Meridian 11, and certain camera sensors can detect that timing throughout the schedule even though the light appears steady to the eye. We have already identified a refinement that should significantly improve camera compatibility, and it is being prepared for implementation in an upcoming update. In the meantime, there are camera settings that can reduce the effect, but this is not something you should need to permanently work around.

Did you get any idea of when their “refinement” will be? I have the Meridian 35 have have the same issue with the flickering and blue color. I can’t get a decent pic or video and it’s very frustrating. My lights also randomly go through a demo cycle, switching between all the lights at 100% throughout the day. This freaks my fish out and they all hide.

I haven't heard anything but I'm not holding my breath. I still can't take video using my pixel 10 pro buty gals iPhone 13 is fine. Plus one for Apple
I've just gotten used to manually adjusting shutter speed on still images but I don't see the option when trying to shoot vides.
Running through the demo cycle sounds like a possible power interruption. The only time I've seen that is when the light is powering up after I've cut power. If your 100% sure the light is not loosing power I would reach out to reef breeders. They've been very responsive when I've had questions..

I have iPhone 17e and use meridian11’s, edge bars, and a meridian 24 over various tanks and don’t have a video issue.

Pics will come out blue from any led fixture if you don’t use an orange lens filter/clip on lens for your phone.

I believe you about the rolling video issue! Sounds like there is some kind of issue. Are you sure you’re getting clean power both in, and out, of the power supply?

Here is a video where I caught the lights flashing through the demo cycle. It’s random and daily.
