I took a tron coral (slower grower) and created the guardian of the tank.

Cool idea! I can see people being confused and asking “what kind of coral is that?” lol

I have done a few designer shaped cyphastreas and montis in the past:

I love what you have done with these corals! I have one of these rocks and it has given me a great idea.

Ok, I have to admit I only clicked on this because of your Hanson brother profile picture. Anyone who likes Slapshot is a friend of mine LOL. And I’m blown away by the thread though! Have you thought about doing sphere shapes? Different cyphastrea colors and you could make a solar system model display.

I enjoy making these to see how they turn out. Started two new ones last week. Large Bizzaro on 3D print and a smaller 3D print covered in forest fire digi. The digi one could look all kinds of funky as it encrusts and grows out.

I no longer grow out the seed corals in frag discs. I find it easier pop the coral off a glazed shower tile. It grows in a thinner veneer that a razor can can get under for transplant to the chosen skeleton.

Great ideas! I moved my ricordeas to my flower rock just now. I am excited about the change!
