Midas Blenny With Edema

So I have noticed that my midas blenny is having edema on its liver and isn't eating. I have found another post of r2r that had their midas blenny with the same symptoms, but the only difference is that my midas blenny is constantly swimming and only perching at night to sleep, never perches throughout the day. I was hoping if maybe there is anything I could do. Here is the thread I was talking about:

Also forgot to add that my midas blenny hasnt lost color

The weight loss may be indicative but is fish eating yet? If so, may not be as they often wase away and stop eating and this fish is not quite there yet. Some good enticers are brine shrimp, mysis shrimp and bloodworms

He has not eaten in 3 days, the last two days he always swims around with the other fish whenever I am feeding them but he never eats. I feed with frozen spiraluna, mysis and brine and krill

And also he have an extremely high breathing rate at maybe around 300 maybe more, but he just did a very quick swimming burst so he is still moving around a bit

Sorry for the repetitive posts, but he is back to constantly swimming against the glass near the top but he is swimming upwards not sideways so I don’t think it’s an oxygenation problem

That fast of a breathing rate is a serious issue. Have you medicated the fish with anything yet?

I have treated the fish with copper from the ich about 2ish months ago and there is still the smallest amount of copper left in the system, like .05, but no other medications since then, and copper is the only medication I have used on this fish

O.K., as long as the tank hasn't been infected with some non-quarantined fish, I think you can rule out a protozoan issue.

Can you post a video of the fish? Maybe I'll see something specific that can be treated....

This is weird - the blenny has a strange curve to its back, and it isn't using its side (pectoral fins) properly. I have no idea what could have caused this other than some physical injury causing neurological damage, but I can't explain how that could have happened.....

It did suddenly come on so it would make sense, but the only fish that jumps in the quarantine tank is the tang when I accidentally scare it, and there hasn’t been any aggression from the other fish, so I am unsure of what could have caused it as the only structure I have in the tank was a pvc pipe when it first started, and I added one more I thought it would have wanted to be in, but then my damsel stole it for itself

If it did, and you were right there, you would have likely seen it hit something in the tank out of fright....

There is another possible issue - sometimes, fish develop internal nematode (worm) infections. These worms burrow through the tissue and can disrupt the normal nerves and muscles of a fish, causing symptoms like you are seeing here. Treating that issue is outside the realm of home aquariums, but the issue is not likely to be contagious to other fish....
