Got the MP40s mounted and started the task of cord management on the controller board.

Lots of work to do. I plan to get the board setup finalized in the next week or so.

Next up sump fill/return pump test!

Exciting times!
Looking great already! Following!

Hi I hope your build is going well! I just starting working on mine again.

Have you made a decision on what you will do for flow inside the tank?

I wanted to try and keep one end of my peninsula free of power heads as well, but haven’t found a reliable way in my research to get adequate flow there.

For now I'm running 2x MP40 on each end but am considering using a gyre on the far end so I don't have the pumps on the outside. I haven't found a single end flow solution yet

Setup of the Apex begins.

I got all the outlets labeled but I'll just go ahead and say I know NOTHING about programming this thing!

Some outlets I know how to assign them a type but there are others I'm not sure what to use? Such as UV lamps? Fuge lights? Pump that pushes water through my fuge? Radions? The outlets for the XR30S will always be on because WXM will be controlling them, still set type as light? Lots to learn for sure!

Can you please tell us where you bought the 1/4 water line connectors in the box you made for your water topoff?

Plumbing in the inline heater today... No real room to hard plumb it under the stand so I'm soft plumbing it into the UV loop to make cleaning and maintenance on the heater simpler.

Do you have any backup/redundancy plans should the inline heater fail?

Good question!

I do. The inline heater has an internal thermostat, that is backed up by the Apex and a controlled outlet so in the event the internal thermostat on the inline heater fails in the on position the Apex temp sensor and power bar will cut power to it entirely.

Also I have 2 smaller heaters inside the sump, these are my backup #1 and backup #2 heaters. Each of their internal thermostats and the Apex outlets they are plugged into are set slightly lower than what the inline heater should maintain, so in the event it fails off or the Apex shuts it down the two smaller heaters are more than sufficient to heat the tank together. But neither of them if stuck on are large enough to cook the tank.

I am in the same process of my build!

What type of rock is that? I have reefsaver macrorocks from BRS, but I have so much trouble breaking it into smaller pieces to create the scape I am looking for

It's BRS Marco Reefsaver... Mostly the shelf rock with some standard Marco mixed in.
