I have been researching some trace elements, wether they are as important as some say. Seems that some successful sps tanks do well with just dosing/maintaining the normal 3, kh, Ca, Mg, others however dose quite a few of the less common elements and are also very successful. I would like to be able to test what I dose, have heard that the iodine tests can be inaccurate or just a pain to do. I had come across an iodine tester from Milwaukee after searching for a Hanna, which turns out they make but not usable for a saltwater aquarium. Has anybody used the Milwaukee tester, it says good for aquariums but did not see it specify salt or fresh? And any input on trace elements would be appreciated. Thanks.
