In the now two days I’ve had my baby mimic tang, it was immediately clear that my sleeper goby and him were buddies. I haven’t seen them far from each other since moments after the introduction. Including an adorable “tour” by the goby, to places the tang couldn’t fit there’s no harassment, and sometimes even a “hey wait for me” kind of catch up across the tank or through the rock work.

anyone else wanna share an unlikely friendship?

the shy territorial meets the social butterfly ❤️

That's cool, I hope that relationship continues!
Me too! I’ve even seen them sleeping together, I have a feeling as the tank matures and they do, the goby will start hiding but we are all enjoying it in the moment. The tang follows behind the goby as he sifts up grub and he picks at anything missed. Cutest thing haha

Got a lemonpeel angelfish and purple tang 3 days ago follow each other around all over if the lemonpeel hides in the rock the tang wont come out if the lemonpeel comes out the tang follows
