Hi all,

I just got a secondhand eshopps deskmate, which I’m going to polish as it has some scratches, but the main issue is that it didn’t come with a flow nozzle or return pump tube.

I have a pump I can use with no issue, and I’ll probably just buy a VCA dual random flow generator that is compatible with the deskmate, but where do I get the tubing?

What size is the return pump outlet? And what is the listed max flow rate?

VCA’s RFGs are typically designed to hook up to rigid loc-line tubing, which is used inside the display only! Their 1/4” RFGs have a minimum flow rate of 80-100gph.

From the pump to the display divider, flexible tubing is most commonly used…. Vinyl, or silicone typically! Available at your local hardware store, or at numerous online retailers!

Yeah I actually just got one of these and it didn't come with a pump or any plumbing, I was considering modifying the whole size to fit something standard but does anyone know if I can get replacement plumbing for this? It's a bit of a project tank not in the best shape, scratched up, but it would honestly be nice to get my little warty frogfish alone in his own tank until he outgrows it. Luckily I have a skimmer for this one.

did you get this figure out?

if not, I'm like 99% sure the Waterbox plumbing kit for the cube tank series will fit the Deskmate as a direct replacement of the stock plumbing parts.

It looks identical with what comes in the DeskMate aquarium and they both use the same 16.5mm adapter that we offer. I say 99% because I have not actually swapped this part in to a Deskmate but I have visually compared the two parts - and they look identical.

then, if anyone else is wondering, you can add any of these Pre-configure Low kits to this tank - as they all include our 16.5mm Waterbox Cube/Eshopps Deskmate adapter.

Thank you so much for this response! This is the exact information I needed. I ultimately upgraded to a Lifegard Crystal 10, and I’m planning on sticking with it for a couple years.
But, now I can get the Waterbox plumbing kit and that’ll make the deskmate sellable!
