How’s the Klir roller filter working ? I’m thinking of buying one buy worried about stripping the water too much.

Its great, I like it a lot. Having to change rolls every 30-45 days, which isnt bad. I occasionally drop one sock (into an adjacent tray without removing Klir) for a day to super polish the water.

Here is a pic of one of the clowns loving the anemone. Both clowns are permanently attached to these anemones (got 4 now, since the original one split a few times). Btw, this is the mother anemone that loves baking at 600+ PAR touching the surface.

Great build, any chance of sharing the files for the red sea skimmer air chamber mod?

Thanks

Was moving baby mushrooms into an Octo box with rubble, decided to take a few top down pics. SPS are doing great, encrusting fast, great colors. Same with everything else. Ultra rare RBT from TSA with its babies looks 10x better in person. Enjoy the pics and the rest of the weekend, guys.

10. Self descriptive photos of this coming together. The pump is Ocot Varios 6, decided to hard plumb it. Added Marine Pure, used the left over in cups. AI Hydra 26 have been connected. Drilled the stock ATO to convert to a refugium. Cut the threads to save space. In addition to 3 reactor valves, added another one that has a hose in sump area to keep detritus off the bottom, do small water changes, etc.

Wow gorgeous setup! Top notch congrats on reef tank 365 you deserved it!

Many thanks for your kind words! Greatly enjoying the experience! Makes me regret that I have been missing so much just getting into this amazing hobby very recently. Something very satisfying with recreating a piece of the ocean in your own house and watching our boys get drawn into it too.

Don’t know why it took me so long, didn’t realize this product even existed ... a few times we lost power and as soon as it came back, my skimmer would overflow. The return pump wasnt moving the excess water from the sump fast enough, so increased water level was causing the skimmer cup to fill, then dump/circulate water through it. I bought this skimmer delay socket on @Bulk Reef Supply just connected. Itdelays the power for 5 min after power is out, which is plenty of time for the return pump to drop sump water to its regular level.

Guys, my head is spinning, need help figuring this out. I have gotten my second (spaced 3 mos apart) ATI ICP water test. Same thing as last time, need to add Vanadium, Iodine and Manganese. After the first test, I switched from Seachem Reef trace supplement to dosing Tropic Marin A and K, but clearly tank is consuming more than what Tropic Marin offer. I also do weekly 10% water changes religiously. So, here are screenshots from two previous tests. Question is: how much should I dose weekly, bi weekly or monthly? I got Iodine, Vanadium and Manganese bottles of ATI, just need to figure out roughly how much to dose periodically to supplement these adequately. Many thanks.

1) test recommendation from mid July.

2) test recommendation from mid Oct.

Ok, guys, completing few last pieces for extended absence. Since I am using 100ml of each AquaForest 1,2,3, my dosing containers only last me about 15 days. So, I bought an extra set of these and turned caps to accept my dosing line. Will switch to these containers whenever travelling for longer than two weeks.
