Hi all,
I am about to buy the holding tanks for a saltwater mixing station. The plan is for it to serve a 90g reef tank and a 20-40g frag/qt. My question is: what is an acceptable capacity for a mixing/storage system for these needs? I have been looking at 35g storage tanks like these (https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/horizontal-leg-tank-35-gal), since Space is limited and I could place them in a vertical configuration.
I would like to hear your opinions.
Thanks!

I use 35G brutes and never have enough water on hand for my 80G.

My issue is plain RO/DI. By the time I top off my ATO, use some RO/DI for various reasons, I'm constantly making RO/DI when I need to make NSW.

I do plan on upping my storage capacity of RO/DI to about 65G soon though.

I would say you need more capacity.

It really just depends on what you want. I have two 105 gallon containers for my 180. I think it’s about right. I mix some water every month or so plus have enough in case I ever need it for an emergency or doing a quarantine.
