I'm setting up a new tank and working through the design of the mixing station and hoping for some advice.

Currently, I'm building a small controller to manage the RODI supply for my fresh water container. I have high/low sensors, a secondary fail safe switch, and additional valve for flushes each time it produces water.

One question I had is related to the system's pressure. It seems like its fine to keep the RODI unit pressurized (runs at ~75 psi with booster pump), but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Is it better to keep the system pressurized or allow the system to depressurize between uses? I'm using one of the BRS units that comes with the auto shut off installed.

Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.

General idea:

Are you cutting power to the booster pump as well?

I’d keep it pressurized. I setup a similar system (no booster pump) but abandoned it for a 3 way valve and auto flush. It’s easy enough for me to keep an eye on the level on the 55 gal rodi reservoir and make sure it’s full prior making 55 gal of salt.

Have an auto flush you recommend?

For filling your rodi you just keeping an eye on it while its filling to make sure no overflows?

I got the BRS pressure switch and auto flush.

I have a manual float valve as primary stop and an optical switch that alerts me if the float were to fail. I try to start it in the morning and turn it off manually at the 3 way when it’s full.
