Of course all great ideas start with some sort of problem.
Hence my problem: mixing salt in a non permanent situation or area.
My garage has no accessible plumbing since the water heater and washing machine are inside the house.

I’ve seen other mobile carts done for salt water mixing and made a plan to do one for my needs.

I’m only using 10 gallon brutes because my reef tank is only a 50 gallon system.

Materials Used
1 36x24 utility cart, harbor freight has these super cheap and well made.
2- 10 Gallon brute trash cans with lids
1- Aqua Mag 7 Pump
1 Spectrapure custom 5 stage RODI with float shut off.
1 Inkbird heater controller and 100w heater
Assortment of plumbing and uniseals

First things first
Assembling the cart took no time and came out pretty strong. The cart is rated for 450lbs
I won’t be anywhere near that, but it’s nice to have some room.

Using OSB attached with stainless hardware I mounted the RODI to the back of the cart.

Then using stainless hardware again I mounted the RODI to the OSB and plumbed what I could before my parts arrive in the mail.

Further updates as this build continues...

The 10 gallon brute cans fit like a glove. Waiting on my uniseals and pump, then we plumb! #reeftank #saltwatermixingstation #rubbermaidbrute #darkhorsereef

Well the plumbing went smooth, the fit is great, but my Danner Mag 7 decided to hand grenade on me on start up. Yes it was primed, yes it was inspected before start up. Just an old pump that I had lying around. Ordered a new impeller and volute cover. Should be here by weeks end.
Looks good though.
