Build thread is fairly up-to-date. Added a yellow corris wrasse a few weeks ago and will get a picture of the little guy up soon. My melanarus wrasse is about 4x's bigger, but he took to the little guy after a few days and they pal around together all day now.

I am in the same boat as you before you ordered your tank. I can’t decide between this tank and the nuvo. Nice tank by the way. I’m heavily leaning towards the mode 75. How are you liking it so far ?
I can’t seem to find dimensions on it. Would you mind posting them. Interior of the cabinet as well.

Outside measurements are 35.5" x 23 5/8". Interior cabinet measurements are roughly the same; and if ur considering using the sump that comes with the system, there's virtually no room for anything else.

Tank looks great. I have had the same problem with file fish in the past. I think that every filefish I ever purchase decided to carpet surf eventually.
one other thing. Maybe I missed it in the thread but did this tank ever go thru a cycle?

Not really. I used the live rock from my old system... that and a bottle of bio-spira.

So then a cube trigger sump should fit under there? I jumped the gun on it a while back. Not the best move in hind sight lol. Thanks for sharing the measurements.
How satisfied are you with the setup of the tank ?

The sump that comes with the system is 29.5" (L) x 17.5"(W) x 18.5"(H)... so, anything within these measurements will work. The sump holds about 30 gallons. I'm happy with the system for what i paid. I got what i expected to get before i put my $$ down. If u will read the first 1 or 2 pages of this thread, I don't hold back on anything. This isn't just a build thread... it's also a review of Mode and this tank. GL

Pic of my Yellow Coris Wrasse. He'll come right up to the glass when he sees me (thinking he's about to get fed), but when i get the camera out he darts.

Short video on my fighting conch. Great part of a cuc. With my Melanurus wrasse, my hermit crabs are on the dinner menu. Plan on getting several more of these. These things can crawl up the back glass and has made it everywhere climbing on the rocks.

I also ordered a Algae Turf Scrubber from Marine Magic, yesterday. Looks like it's a decent scrubber and at half the price of the Clear Water Scrubber I was considering.

I love my fighting conch! You got super lucky with yours climbing. Mine stays in the sand only. Reaches up to the first inch of glass.
They are so cool to watch.
Definitely my favorite CUC member.

Thought it was time to check my water parameters, as i haven't for several months.

PH: 8.5
The airline hose from my skimmer to outside has really made a difference. I wasn't able to get my PH above 7.8 before this.

Ammonia: 0

Nitrates: 0

Nitrites: 0

Phosphate: 0
This has been an issue since starting the tank. I've never had any measurable nitrates or phosphates. I had some issue with GHA and removed a bunch of it 3 weeks ago off my back wall and a little on some of my reef rock. None has grown back over 3 weeks. I still have quite a bit on part of my rock. I assume it is consuming my nitrates and phosphates. I ordered a ATS last week and it should be here by 11/23.

KH: 9.5

Ca: 450

Mg: 1600
My Mg has always been a little high. I'm dosing about 15mls of Tropic Marin All-for-reef. From what i've read i don't believe this is a real issue.

ATS has made it to New York and going thru customs. Should have by next Monday or Tuesday.

Have finally gotten the okay for a quarantine tank. I was trying not to set one up, but unfortunately, my LFS (TSM Aquatics) isn't getting the fish i want in. So I am going with a 10 gallon (maybe 20 gallon but i don;t want to push it). Looking to add a black leopard wrasse, dusky wrasse, and several flasher wrasse. I've found them online, but would never introduce them to my tank without quarantining.

Received my ATS today.... partially. The seller said it would be coming in 2 parts. I received scrubber box and platform that it sits on inside the sump. The lights and pump will (hopefully) be coming soon. Here's a few pics.

Platform that sits on ledge of sump
