My ATS is up and running. Here's a few pics of it. One of the nice features of this system is that it comes with a controller that allows me to control when the lights come on and turn off and the intensity of the lights--4 different intensity settings. It also controls the pump.

p.s. I still have some wire management to deal with.

Just got finished reading through the thread and amazing tank! I'm looking for a tank myself and was considering potentially getting the Mode 75. Do you have any pictures of your sump set up? I briefly see how you've done it in the algae scrubber pictures. Is that 2nd compartment in the sump big enough to fit a skimmer so the middle can be used as a refugium?

That 2nd chamber is roughly 7.25" x 6". Apparently, Mode made/makes a skimmer that fits in that space, but I've never seen it for sale. Mode's parent company, Cadlights, may have something for sale. Not a big deal for me as i did not want a refugium. The algae scrubber was perfect for me. GL

p.s. Here's a link to another build thread for a Mode 100 gallon. I haven't checked it out, but you may find more info there. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/mode-aquarium-100gallon-build-first-tank-ever.781222/unread

Why I didn't do this before is beyond my understanding. I finally broke down and bought a booster pump for my ro/di system. I got the aquatec 8800 booster pump from BRS.

I was getting the minimum pressure 50psi, but it was still taking forever to get my water done each week. Additionally, I am told probably wasting a lot of di resin and obviously more waste water.

I set it up yesterday and was able to get my 20 gallons of ro water done in less than 4 hours. it was taking me (in the winter, less x in the summer) about 6.5-7 hours or more to do the same.

I'm sure it will pay for itself in no time.

Here it is set up in the laundry room. It's a temporary set up, so i'll break it down each time after use. Not a big deal for me. During the warmer months, I'll set it up in the garage and leave it until winter.

Adding a booster pump has allowed me to upgrade my system to a 150gpd system. Super cheap at BRS at $59.99. According to everything i have read, this should reduce my time making ro/di to about 8 hours monthly; and a 1 to 1 ratio of ro/di to waste water.

It's sad it has taken me this long to make this upgrade. I was trying to save $$ where i could, when in reality i was wasting time and money in the long run.

And lastly (I think), I ordered my first Triton water test. It will be interesting to see what's going on according to Triton. Everything is doing fairly well--nothing's dying--but my palys and zoas haven't seen any real growth since i purchased them. My Florida Ricordeas, Torches, and hammers are all doing well and growing like crazy.

My 150gpd water maker upgrade is here. It looked a little confusing to set up at first, but really only need to add a waste line, and then a splitter for the blue lines. We'll see how it works later this week.

P.S. I should be picking up my splendid pintail wrasse this saturday!!!! Yay!!!

Here's a pic of my pintail wrasse I'll be picking up on Saturday. Matt, at TSM Aquatics, said this fish was the least cooperative fish in the store in regards to pics--and that's saying something because the place is 10k square feet. Pretty pumped to get this in my system. Hopefully, I'll be adding a Black Leopard soon and... :p

My LFS had the same experience with getting pics of my pintail, it got spooked and ran into a wall and they ended up holding it for observation for another week. It was super shy for about a week after I got it, but is slowly coming around and isn't quite as skittish. They're beautiful fish, you'll love it

Thanks, Bcheek. Really looking forward to this fish... and several more my LFS hopefully will be getting for me.

A few pics of adding the 150gpd upgrade from BRS. It looked more complicated than it was at first, but really all that is needed is adding 1 14" waste water line and a Y connector with a couple new product water lines.

The r/o water production with the booster pump is unreal. I am producing around 4-5 gallons every 30-35 minutes at a pressure of 88psi with 1 TDS going into the resin. To give it some context--during winter with the water being colder--it was taking me about 1.5 hours to produce the same amount of r/o water. I haven't tested the amount of waste water i am producing, but it has to be significantly less. The booster pump and 150gpd upgrade will easily pay for itself... not to mention all of the time I will save.
