I have three of these on some of my tanks. Well built does take a little time to receive as it is a small company. Also if you want tops for inside and outside boxes they are extra and be sure to order with the overflow.

I have the 2-1200gph and the 1600gph. Noise wise I can here a little trickle but nothing crazy. Also make sure you know how to set up bean animal overflow you can adjust the flow to cut down on noise.
I'm planning to order an 82" long tank momentarily and would like to go with these MM "ghost" overflows.
Would like to put 2 separate units with 3 drains each on both left and right sides of the back wall. Can this be done? Can two separate units be dialed in reliably?

Have something custom made where the internal piece is single long piece thats spans nearly the whole back of the tank (similar to what SteveB has done above, I'm guessing) and have 2 rear (external) boxes at ends with bean animal setup.
Either way, there would be 4 bullheads between the internal and external boxes and 6 more bulkheads where the drains attach. That is a total of 10 bulkheads where one can have leaks; ouch!
I would like to hear from anyone who has these installed for a period of time if they experience any leaks between boxes, etc. 10 bulkheads kind of freak me out. Please help, thanks.

I have not experienced any leaks. My system is not running but i did do a 2 week leak test. I have 4x2” bulkheads connecting inner outer boxes with gaskets on both sides of glass. I only have 3x1.5 for bean animal that where capped when i was testing. I will see if i have some pics and if not will take some.
I appreciate your reply and would definitely appreciate pictures. I've been waiting too long to order my tank but I want to be 100% sure about everything before placing the order.

No leak problems with my 36" unit. More than sufficient for a 82" long tank IMO; mine is on a 96" tank. I would not use dual units, you just end up with unnecessarily complex plumbing. If you must have a longer skim box, MM will make it for you, but it will take a while.
With the minimal space between the tank and the wall I'm afraid that if I ever have any problems with the overflow positioned in the center I my not be able to reach it over a wide tank. Putting either 2 boxes at end or one long box with plumbing at one end I'll be able to tighten things up should there be a need.

sorry it took longer than anticipated to find the pics...
≈82" internal weir, 60" external box with 3x1.5" drains, 4x1.5" holes through back of tank joining them together. I had them use sched. 40 bulkheads. The back of the weir and the external box are 3/8" acrylic.

Thanks for the pics, Love what I see. The hidden internal piece is just great!
My worry is that if anything leaks it would be nearly impossible for me to reach across a 33" wide tank to fix it and so this is why I was leaning towards 2 external boxes, each servicing 2 of the 4 through tank bulkheads. This way I'd have the drains at the very end of the tank, on either side; just in case I needed to tighten something or what not.
Any thoughts?
