Very pretty tank. Love how grown in and happy it all looks. Seems like a larger tank with everything that is in there. Still no water changes?

Yup I now run a geo calcium reactor instead of two part and use organic carbon (nopox) and a big reef octopus skimmer for nutrient export. I feed Hikari marine A pellets 4 times a day then 1 cube of mysis and one sheet of seaweed. Coral wise I feed reef chili and I started using the food system from aquaforest. I feed alot everyday and rely alot on the nopox and skimmer to export nutrient.

Looks like I'm going to have to try and add nitrate because my system is running too clean since my upscales microdales isn't coloring up like it should be...

@reef jacob we need an update! How's this one doing?
I'll be totally honest here. For the past year I've focused my time restoring a 1965 mustang coupe with a 302 but haven't had much time to work on the tank. Sadly the majanos took over the tank and killed some corals. The tank still hasn't "crashed" per say but it definitely isn't stuffed with coral anymore. This past week I took everything out of the tanks and slent 16 hours cleaning off every rock with majanos. About half of my corals survived though, I'm going for a more minimalist look.

I'll get photos posted and a full update tomorrow. I've gone so long without water changes but now it's necessary.

Great work on the mustang!! Looking forward to watching the tank reboot too. I'm sure it'll be great!

The container to the top right is acclimating a red Mandarin dragonet. The tank is a very different style I'm going for, it's more simplistic and clean.

Since I live 4 hours from the Oregon coast, I've been collecting starfish, giant green anemones, aggregating anemones and sculpin. I honestly love how low maintenance cold water tanks are and the invertebrates are so fascinating to watch eat. However, I'm still slowly growing the 120 back into a decent reef tank but it's not going to be a sps packed reef for the fishes sake. Before there wasn't enough room and now there double the swimming room which is more interesting to watch the fish and is better for their health. Some might not like the aquascape but I'll be leaving for college soon so doesn't make sense to go all out again. Less stress for me as well....
