Greeting all,
Over the past 3 weeks, this Spongodes has been loosing tissue. The area affected faces the back of my tank, receives good flow, and is not in direct light. Outside of this localized area the coral is bright green with amazing polyp extension. It is continuing to grow up and encrusting to surrounding areas. No other corals are affected.
I’ve checked many times at night and do not see any Monti eating Nudibranchs. I did find a six legged dark color Asterina star, which was promptly removed. There aren’t any corals near causing warfare.
Tank parms are:
DKH 8, N03 5ppm, P04 .12ppm, CA 440ppm, MG 1410. Testing by Hanna, Red Sea, and Salifert.
Does this look bacterial? Even though I haven’t spotted MENs could this be the case?
