I’m pretty confident there MontiporaReminds me of some of the organisms I studied in micro biology. Are you sure it's a monti? Look's sorta like a favia in these photos.
Nope, definitely not. Montipora don't have wall structures like that. The closest to "walls" would be Montipora palawensis, and those are like wrinkles on the brain and not uniform. You have some sort of brain coral, favia (although those don't technically exist).I’m pretty confident there Montipora
Yup your right I’m dumbDoesn’t look like a monti to me. Polyps are too big. Looks more like goniopora
Yeah I think it’s a little mad at me I’ve moved it two times today to get it in a good spotOr, as someone mentioned, it is a ticked off goniopora or a leptastrea that doesn't have it's polyps out.
Yeah definitely there doesn’t seem to be much detail online but it’s not in a low flow environment with low lighting and I’ll check on it often to see how it’s doing. I’ll also try to give it some food when it’s a little happierIf it is goniopora and you bought it as a Montipora, you got a steal. Gonis are harder though, so you might want to brush up on their care.

Definitely not Favia as there are no Favias in the hobby.More like favia...
Imagine if we had to use actual taxonomy in this hobby. Part of me would like that, but Google would disagree.Definitely not Favia as there are no Favias in the hobby.
