Montipora lightening in color

I have a red montipora and it is starting to lighten in color. I think it may be my LED are too intense and close to the coral. My temp fluctuates from around 78.0 to 81.0, is that too much movement?

maybe low potassium levels if its not the light

I lost all my montis when I went to LED so I would imagine that is it (I started them at 30%). Though a 3 degree temp swing is a bit much....anyway you can get that down? Maybe a fan on the sump?

I don't wanna hear anything like that. I'm baking the swap in a few weeks and ivd got about 20 different monti colonies.

haha I'm sure you'll be fine. I just had very bad luck with LEDs.

Can you control the intensity, or lower the monti? What type of monti is it. I have a bounce and have found that a few are a bit touchy. I turned a Pokerstar recently back to front otherwise in the same exact place. And it went straight pale in the matter of a few days.

I can turn the intensity down a bit and I've put a heater and fan on my tank controller. Temp now goes to 78-79 all day all night. Its a red montipora cap. I had him for a while and he was once completely white, i revived his color back and about 8 months this week he turned more lighter (like a pink)

do you have any other sps in your tank ,and what are your nitrate ,and po4 test results?

I have 2 acros and 1 superman montipora that is doing the same thing. I have a red satosa that's tips are kinda dying. And a sunset montipora that is doing alright. My nitrate is at 0 ppm and my phosphate is at 0.10
