I have this nice big paly and it is growing and expanding fast. Was just 2 heads opening, one big, then 4 with one big head. Not there are prob. 12 of them. I'm thinking of moving it to a spot where it is more by itself--the side of another rock.

Or should I leave it and let it fill in. Will it smother out the other zoanthids? Take over the tank? I have a 125 gal I'm starting and have a rock that will be by itself with gsp, palm cloves, and a leather on top. I could put these on the bottom of that rock (arrow head shaped--see my build thread)

IME, those will definitely over take the zoas and other corals. You can isolate them but eventually you'll have to tend to them no matter where they are.

That is what I was afraid of... Might put them on the sandbed for now and move them onto their own rock in the new tank

Like the green center. Nice group of sun coral...(in second pic)

ugh. Cannot get the paly frag off the rock and it is starting to spread from the frag. How does one control palys once they start spreading?
