Hello fellow Reefers,
Since there are so many 2-part products on the market and sometimes we often like to try, test, or change from one product to the next I wanted to post a thread that can be referenced later that include products like Red Sea, AquaForest, Tropic Marin, ESV B-Ionic, Triton, BRS, DIY’s etc. I feel it will be very beneficial for those who are new to dosing or for the reefer that wants to change from one product to another. Having these numbers on one thread will make life much easier, but I can’t do it alone. Eventually I’d like to compile the information and create a very detailed chart.
So here’s a few that I have so far and if there’s any corrections that need to be made please let me know or post up. Also, if you know the Alkalinity, Calcium, or Magnesium strength of your particular 2-part, please list it here. I'll list the Alkalinity in meq/L and dKH.
BRS 2-part 1,900 meq/L (5,300 dKH)

Triton Core7:
Number 1 = Magnesium + Traces
Number 2 = Calcium + Traces
Number 3A = Alkalinity + Traces
Number 3B = Alkalinity + Traces

So both bottles have equal Alk? 9,750 per bottle?
Julian@Triton said:
Correct. Components 3a and 3b both contain equal Alk (9,750 dKH per bottle).
9,750 dKH or 3,482meq/L (3A)
9,750 dKH or 3,482meq/L (3B)
He said Triton Core7 still remains the most concentrated inorganic Alkalinity solution sold as a professional product on the market. Yes, all bottles can be diluted with "ultrapure RO/DI" water, but just make sure to dilute all bottles equally. Also, if you add bottles 3A & 3B together make sure to double the dose. If you were dosing 10mL of all components, your combined dose for 3A and 3B would now become 20mL.
This is all I have for now. Please feel free to add to this list.
