Mushroom or anemone? (Hitchhiker)

This comes out and night and wanders around a little bit which makes me think it’s an anemone… but it does look like a reddish mushroom coral. I haven’t seen it out during the day.

Thoughts?

Thanks for checking out my wag. Also, I was not certain from the photo what thing we were talking about. I think it is the golden brown square/diamond in the middle of the frame? (Other folk may also wonder?) How fast does this thing open when it comes out at night?
