I got sold this as a St. Thomas Bubble. I know mushrooms can move similar to anemones, but this little guy moved across the tank in a day or two and parked itself next to a maxi mini. Seems a bit more like BTA personality to me. What do you think? I don’t think I cant get a better photo it’s in a tough spot.

I will try to get another photo tomorrow that is better. It just blows my mind if it is a St. Thomas, and moved across the tank in a day. I didnt think they could move that fast.

Outside of my question - I also cant tell if that is a Yuma or St. Thomas. From first glance I would think a mutated yuma.
Your correct Out side of your question have you got a white light photo clear and we would know if BTA or mushroom. Sorry about my sense of humour too much for a Sunday

Haha no problem! Makes for a better day at least for me. Unfortunately the light on it is just an ATI Tuna blue bulb so I cant change anything. Let me see if I can figure something out with a lense though.

Is there a way to identify it from the photos as a mushroom instead of BTA? Any distinguishing marks? I’m just blown away a mushroom could move so fast. Maybe it hitch hiked on my emerald crab or something?

The oral disk does not look like a bubble tip. There are no white saturations
I’ve had an experience like that. Bought a jawbreaker moved across the tank and then moved again, never found it after the third move

They can release themselves and go where the flow takes them
