My 180 Cube Adventure!

I am kind of new here but I figured I would share my new tank. It is a 4' x 4' x 21" cube built with 3/4 starphire glass and custom steel stand which is rhino lined. Here are a few pictures of where I am at now.

They are SOLARIS I4 and I5 fixtures. The I4 I will be selling. I just ordered 2 Orphek units to try as the tank foot print is rather large. Everything is being run by a Reeflo Dart in the basement. I also have 2 MP40W powerheads for the display.

Well, I decided that the SOLARIS light spread was not wide enough for what I need so I ordered two new Orphek LED fixtures. 1 may be enough but I got 2 just incase.. They are in limited supply right now.

DUDE! This is one sweet build! How far off are you from adding rock? Are you combining an old tank into this one? If so do you have any pic's of the critters to go in?

My old tank was broken down and sold while I moved. I am basically starting from scratch with this one... I have some rock in the tank now but I plan on picking up more at a frag swap this weekend.

Ok well i got the lights. They seem to be very nicely built. I took the thing completely apart to see the build quality. This is just one light on the tank. I am definatly going to need to use both. I also think I need the 120* lenses.. I will swap them in when they send them to me. No crazy features with the light just simple on and off for the days and moon lights.

Any updates on this tank? How are the Orphek LED's working out for you? Nobody seems to have much real world experience with them

This is really what drew me to find out more really....They look absolutely stunning, but I'm not gonna drop almost $1,000 just because it looks good. I want some reviews

Yes! We needs updates! I love cubes, and I don't get to see large cubes often.. this is lookin' like it's going to be an awesome tank. Curious to see how those LEDs work for you.. it's getting more and more tempting to get one... too bad I just recently replaced my T5 set up!

Hey all sorry for lack of attention on this thread. The LED's are working out great. I will try to get some updated pictures soon. Still nothing to spectacular. But I hope to have better results now that I have more time to devote to the tank.
