good question ,JMO 90 watt ,only one bulb to replace ... :)
@Eagle_Steve thoughts ??
I would prefer a single 90w, but 3x40 is not different and actually a little better. Trick to UV is exposure time. Larger wattage are usually longer bulbs=longer exposure time. 3x40 if setup so water runs past each one separately, then longer exposure than single 90w

Meanwhile, these guys are still hanging out in qt tank. I did finally get rid of whatever pest it was bothering them. I used Pipzine in their food for 10 days followed by another round 2 weeks later. I’m leaving them in qt until new tank is set up. Don’t want to try and catch them out of the 180.

So I poured some resin for more coasters last night and went upstairs to craft room this afternoon and it is really cold up there. Upstairs furnace is not working. Thermostat says 66. Coasters aren’t cured cause it’s too cold. Ugh. Waiting for repair guy… sometime between now and 10 pm. I just hope the coasters are ruined and once it warms up again they will cure.

Too bad about the furnace, hope it's not a major issue.
Hopefully the coasters are not ruined. The others you showed at Frank's Cafe looked really nice!
Also, I'm looking forward to the new build thread for the 270!

Furnace is only 5 years old and still under warranty. We make sure they come twice a year for the general maintenance so hope it’s not serious too.

4 days till our trip. Gots lots to do before then to get everything ready for our house/tank sitter. Gotta make extra RODI water, (tanks all have ATO’s but need to keep those containers full) extra saltwater(just in case) per measurement food into containers. First time this person is house sitting for us. Usually person is going through cancer treatments so didn’t think it was right to ask them. But I do have a club member as an emergency contact if something goes wrong. It’s always nerve wracking when leaving on vacation and especially out of the country for 10 days.

Filter sock washing day. Just throw them in the washer with a little bleach and put washer on “sanitize” setting.

I changed my first Reef Diaper today! I really like them, but since my tank is only 90 gallons, they might not last as long on a larger tank. I managed to get a week out of the first one, so I was happy! I hate washing filter socks!! :expressionless-face:

I have to figure out July. We will be in Alaska for 10 days, plus travel, so more like 12 days. I have the pup boarded with her trainer, but I'll have to figure out the tanks! Local son can be on emergency standby, but with both of them working and managing a 4-year-old and a baby, it will be tough. I'm going to talk to my LFS owner also. He and I go back over 13 years, and I also know the guy who helped me with my first tank is still around.

I have a couple of teenagers next door that I thought about "training." They're both very responsible. I'm just not sure about 12 days. I might work on them for shorter trips before I turn them loose on a long trip!

You just need to relax and enjoy your trip....and then IMMEDIATELY start that new build! :grinning-face-with-big-eyes:

Thanks. I will enjoy the trip. Good luck finding someone to take care your tank. You do have some time to get it figured out. Alaska is in my bucket list. How exciting!

Good morning from Mumbai, India. Can’t wait to get back home so I can breathe again! 93 degrees and horrible smog. Can hardly see the mountains in the background cause of it. My daughter’s asthma is really acting up too.

I think somebody missed us. He’s very clingy today and demanded to snuggle on my lap. Which is fine with me as I have no energy to do anything else. It always takes me 5-6 days to get over the jet lag.
