So I think since I’m so late to this party I’d like to keep this focused more in on what I add in the future.
Currently, I have the following

2 snowflake clowns(Odysseus and Penelope)
1 yellow watchman(skopos)
A cleaner shrimp(Sisyphus)
1 tiger conch(Cronus)
5 Hermits, 5 Cerith, 2, nassarius and two trochus snails

Corals:
A green Duncan
A form of candy can coral(unsure)
I believe an electric daisy Stylocoeniella(it was 5 dollars) 🤷
A green ringed acan
A now three headed hammer coral, it was two when I got it a few weeks ago
A green star polyp
Utter chaos Zoa and daisy cutter zoa
A rhodactis mushroom
Not shown well in this picture, in the back left corner of the tank there is a chalice coral
A rock flower nem
And a Yellow Submarine favia that I’m attempting to rehabilitate. Got it from a friend!
The anemone just came out of being drip acclimated about an hour ago.

Beautiful tank! Your Duncan has some really amazing color.
Thank you! When I bought him he was very pale from the LFS here. I started feeding him mysis(directly and indirectly) and he colored right up! Now I’m just hoping he’ll sprout some new heads!

Sorry to be a bit off topic, but I’m also creating a 20g build, what wave maker did you pick?
I chose a nero 3 based off of a friends recommendation. I paired it with one of the AI return pumps and it works really well!

State of affairs:
Some things got moved and the nem is settling in. This week I’m all of a sudden battling lowww phosphates.( I removed all phosphate reduction media) and this morning I tested at 0.00 so I fed heavily.
I won two corals from the SBB auction that I’m waiting for, a Goni and a yellow holo hammer.

Also if anyone saw my help with rehabilitation post for that yellow submarine favia, it’s going well! It responds to stimuli(my shrimp annoying it) and has started to send out either sweeper or feeder tentacles at night. I’m only struggling keeping the dead parts of it clear of algae.

Every time I post something new to this thread things move in my tank. I’ve gotten some new wanted and unwanted additions. I have a hair algae problem, which I’ve been keeping at the bay the best I can. I plan to get a pincushion or short spine urchin to help with that soon. (The fish stores near me are ridiculously expensive for urchins).

Urchins will make good work of your hair algae issues!

Awesome beautiful tank and your corals look happy. So funny story. The candy cane corals got that name because they used to come in red with white stripes. I NEVER see that strain coming in anymore. The correct name is actually trumpet coral. However everyone these days just refers to them as candy canes:) enjoy the hobby and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!!

Maybe dose up phosphate from zero to say .1ppm, then it’s available now, feeding works, but takes some time.

We need to ensure is consistent availability in a stable format.

I use feed for maintaining phosphate levels, but need to provide a “bump” from time to time.

Just a thought..

Hey yall. Some updates!
1. Nutrients are in check, my nitrates sit at 1-5ppm and my phosphate sits at .05-.08ppm.
2. I finally got a tank stand so I did a big ol’ water change and had to add be salt in halfway through. My hermit crabs seem to love the new salt mix.
3. Things are growing, and something got lame. My GSP hasn’t fully opened since it closed Monday night, some of the newer polyps have only been opening. Thinking maybe high magnesium? It was at 1350 but jumped to 1450

Small update after a couple months, life got crazy but the tank has gotten through some hardships! My GHA outbreak is all but dealt with, currently fighting bubble algae and what appears to be attempted bryopsis in some spots? I have a large spaghetti worm population as well that I’m trying to keep under control and also a few bristle worms that don’t seem to be causing any issues.
