And the peroxide has defiantly already made a difference in cyno growth and even with all that dying back I'm still barely showing nutrients keep in mind its not a test but what I see actually going on as I can tell what's what and I also figured out why I'm bleaching a few corals when I removed the sand it added another reflective surface and the coral is now getting more light from all direction and causing it to bleach as it changed pretty fast was like moving it to fast in the tank

Also holy crap have the corals grown over the last few months I knew they had but wow looking at next to last pic taken vs todays wow they have almost doubled in size also the forest fire montie would be bigger but I keep hitting it and knocking big chunks off of it which is saying something since it's still alot bigger then it was but man are they fragile across arnt as bad as this forest fire mintie seems like I touch it and it breaks

Figured it was time to show how I feed so this is what the water looks like after I have spot feed my coral once a week a difrent batch for each type soft sps and LPS same food for all 3 but of difrent amounts for each sofas being half n half and the LPS is mostly meaty while tje sps is mostly fine aka the rinsed off stuff some throw away it is

Mysis
Spiralina brine
And reef roids
Once a week as follows

10 level if u want accurate
5 heaping to 7 heaping 1/32 tsp of reef roads
One a cube of brine
One cube of mysis

And it's 3 to 5 scoops reef roids
1/4 both mysis and brine strained
And 2 standard kitchen baster water squeezes
Goes to sps

1/4 both mysis and brine plus leftovers in strainer plus 1 scoop reef roads goes to LPS

Then 1 scoop reef roads plus half both mysis and brine goes to sorts then let bask 1/2 hour then turn everything on and use a micro pad o er the next hour to clean the water and use the baster to blow off everything every 10 minutes or so then do your water change I do 10 gallons every 2 weeks and I change the filter directly following a coral feeding

I also feed the fish 1/4 cube mysis or brine a day rotating plus their weekly buffet

Water quality is not an issue as I remove the leftover organics directly following the flood so they can not break down then the cryptic zones take care of the poo and the filter buffs the water I run carbon to rid the water of chemicals lots of softy in there but that's pretty much it as to taking care of it I do watch for emergency and do accordingly tho

Now just gotta kill off this nuisance algie and and I'll be good to go and yes I know that NY bryopisis and cynobactria problems are both due to the high level of non dissolved organics in the water as they eat them and thrive where others dye off however once the bacteria in the rocks comes back into balance then the cyno will go away and that will happen once I kill the bryopisis

Figured it was time to get some rockscaoe photos as I realized looking head on with no context looks pretty basic but if you look all around the rocks cape was designed to maximize the amount of caves there are aka I like caves lol also that's why there is one large cave in the middle I just like the look of caves and watching the fish swim threw them

Added a sponsor streamtoday it definitely cut down the water flow but better circulation I like it may upgrade pump again running a 400gph now may up to 500 to 550 dust cuz I blew off the rocks to see how everything settles vs how it did before

Did a 10 gal water change yesternight and the a 5 gallon change yesterday to remove the reefrx

there was also a bleached spot on the forest fire Monti I cut it below the bleaching spot and got rid of that section so hoping that'll fix it

most likely is due to high nitrates or phosphates as I messed up my ankle and have not been able to do a water change in 3 weeks so I'd bet that is the cause

but everything else is well except the pink candy candy it never recovered from shipping and slowly withered so I removed it today

I also switched to a green bonded filter pad vs blue the green is thicker

also upgrading the kedsum 320 to a 550 today due to the decrease in flow from adding the new nozzel however even with the significant decrease in pressure for the pump because of how the nozzel works the tank is the cleanest it's ever been eve n it had a rnd WaveMaker it still had alot of spots deep in the rock stuff would settle now iv only found one very small spot it settles

And pics

Also the first test of how well I placed coral and researched what to put with what has happened and been a success the plating montie in the lower right has hit the blue palys and where they net they have both stooed growing and are neither trying to over take each other or kill each other my hope is of day the tank will be covered 100 percent in coral and it'll all get along and switch from growing to going sexual as it main form of reproduction

Very nice !!! Love how the clove polyps are climbing the back wall, and the orange monti in front giving a splash of variety!
Are you using the stock LED lights
Thank you and my aim is to let the clove polyps have the entire back but keep them off the rocks mostly the Duncan and candy cane do a pretty good job of killing them back I have considered getting star polyps for the bottom but probly will not

Ya the plating montie lower right looks great I tried to place everything with somthing else acrossed the tank that counters it with alittle of this and that everywhere

There are 3 montie in the tank
a blue skeleton green polyp plating with long spiky branches once grown

A forest fire finger branching montie orange polyps green skeleton

And the only plating montie that's all orange except under moons then it's got a blue neon hue to the neon orange

everything in the tank except the gorgonians glow some an entire difrent color

color placement was don't under moon conditions so when everything starts glowing there is no center focal point your eyes get drawn from one piece to the next naturally not sure why it started underlining things

Stock leds running lc 1 2 3 on at 8 am and all off at 8pm except the moon which goes off at 10pm

So I get main on at 8 sunrise and sunset full power at 830 am and moons full power at 9 am then sunrise and sunset starts ramping down at 730 pm off at 8 and moons start ramp down at 9pm off at 10 so I get 1 hour of full on neon goodness a day hehe
