Hi. Since I was a kid I love the Ocean and their coralreefs. I remember sitting with my dad watching Jacques Cousteau's programs... I felt mesmerized  with all those colors. I was notonly impressed by the fish, but with all the life form... specially corals. My firstsaltwater aquarium was a 10g ...I bring literally a piece of ocean with me(water, one or two rocks, some critters, shells, snails hermit crabs and a pairof fish). At that time I didn't know a thing about reefkeeping... Some yearslater I tried to learn one thing or two, buy a 55g tank, some expensiveequipment and put together my 2nd reeftank. It lasted until I divorced... Thenmy 2nd husband gave me a 12g Nano as a present. This nano and their inhabitantslasted 3yrs until I get pregnant...On 2011 I pulled together the 12g Nanoagain... It was literally filled with life when I decided to buy and set up a36g bowfront tank to replace it.

My 36g Bowfront Nano born on October 18, 2011. My tank dimensions (L x W x H)are: 30 1/4 x from 12 to 16 (bow front) x 20 1/2.
I just moved all life rock from my 12g, put two or three more rocks to create anice rockscape, new sand (with 1-2 scoops from my old 12g nano's sand) and usethe old water to speed-up cycling. Here is my Full Tank Shot as of 4/14/2013:

Lightning:
I have a DIY LED lamp with 16 4x1w GU10 LED bulbs: 8 blue, 6 cool white and 2warm white. The bulbs are arranged in two rows of 8 bulbs alternating blue andwhite.

Bulbs like this one:

The leds are 21 inches from the sand bed.
Here is the lamp color scheme:

Photoperiod:
blue (only 2 bulbs without optics) for 1 hr, then all lights on for 5 hrs, blue(only 2 bulbs wihtout optics) for 5 hrs and then turn off for the rest 13 hrs.

Filtration System:
I have an
Pro Clear AquaticSystems Pro 150 wet/dry sump with some changes. I modify theoriginal central chamber of the system: took away the bio-balls and the sponge.I incorporated an InTankMedia Basket with floss, Purigen andcharcoal. The water run down the overflow, go to the first chamber with theprotein skimmer, passes through the Media Basket, passes through the chaeto onthe central chamber, flows to the last chamber (with the ATO), the return pumppush the water through the 1/10 hp chiller and to the main tank.

Tank Inhabitants:

Fish:
Yellow Wrasse
Six Line Wrasse
Pigmy Angel

Invertebrates:
Feather Duster (1 large and some small ones)

Corals:
Montiplora Capricornis (red)
Blastomussa - 2 different patterns, (35+ heads)
Scolymia Bleeding Apple
Yuma (orange and yellow)
Cabbage (with green polyps)
Hammer (pink tip) 4 heads
Peach dotted red mushrooms
Ricordea (peach, green border)
Acan
Duncan (peach and metallic green) 4 heads
Frag: Fuzzy Birdnest (peach)
Candy Cane (peach n green) 25 heads (up at the rock)
Pipe Organ (metallic green)
Pumping Xenia
Fuzzy Birdnest (peach)
Pink tip Birdnest
Eagle Eye Zoas
Red People Eaters
Brain (red and metallic green)
Frag: Montiplora Capricornis (peach)
Superman Mushrooms
Frogspawn pink tip (17 heads and 11 bebies)
Zoas (red with blue mouths)
Candy Cane (peach n green) 23 heads (down at the sand)
Fungia Plates (yellow) 9 different sizes
various zoas (not captured by the pictures) (+9 types)
Top Right: frags: War Favia, birdnest (2 types), zoas, chalices (3)

In my nano’s near future I am planning on:
change my current protein skimmer with a bigger hang-on on the 1st chamber of the sump (doesn’t have space for a nice in-sump);
add a reactor (550ml) with Charcoal and PhosBan (already have it, need to install)
add another reactor (150ml) with biopellets (already have it, need to install)
add a peristaltic pump dosing C-Balance (A and B) (have to buy the pump)
change the lamp for a better LED lamp (have to buy it)
add an additional pump for flow improvement

Hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks!!

And... YES! I currently have a 75g at home ready for my next setup !! For the 75g I want to make the tank a new stand (with easy access) and buy all the equipment needed before I begin with it.

I don't want to rush my next build... I want to get this 36g to it's prime first, and is not there yet.
