My 40 gallon recife build

Hahaha he's still hiding in the rock! I keep adding a few drops of mysis to get him interested. So far no luck.
Wrasses can be fickle. mine took 3 days before i saw it. I loved that mccoskers. Found it stuck in my gate valve :( was what prompted me to mesh off the whole of my canopy.

Sorry about yours. :(
How long did you have it?
It took me forever to find one. Im glad to hear that it took yours a while to come out. I was getting kind of concerned about mine.

All of about 3 months :(
I did learn that those particular wrasses are quite skittish and spook easily, and are prodigious jumpers.

Thats how I lost my Solon wrasse. I bought a strainer fitting for my overflow box.

Man you guys have me wanting to check out my overflow grate. I do have a water level weir over it that buffers a space of about half an inch, and the top of it is above the water line. I may be good, but ill keep an eye on it

Put on a thong and traipse about in front of the tank. Maybe do a little dance. That'll get the wrasse to come out for sure!

Mines toothless and goes the entire length of one of my side panes (think peninsula) my blenny sleeps in my overflow box and the strainer was the right fix for my setup. One day i'll either upgrade tanks or rip my overflow out while the tanks running. That thought gives me the heeby jeebies.
