Wow crappy day for me. I got home to power failure!!!!
I set off down to local hardware store to buy a generator. I got home and started setting it up and the power came back on.
What I learned about my system is I loose 200L when all my pumps are off. So when the power returned my pumps are running dry.
The good news is no losses

I am thinking now of the new vectra pump with battery back up. That would eliminate the water loss issue.

Why did you lose 200l. Where did it go?

The two tanks gravity feed a 4x2x2 which has a drain at the top. So I can do continuos water changes.
As the top inch of the two display tanks drain to the 4x2 the water goes to waist.
Also the water in the lines approx 50m.
It was lucky I was close to home when it occurred

Keeping the pumps running is the only solution I can think of.

Try a solenoid valve so when the power goes out the valve will close stopping the the water

My green haddon's is breaking all the rules.
He disappeared behind the rocks for one day then squeezed out up the back.
I think he was searching for more light.

100% of the water exiting my reactor goes through the skimmer
Post 31 is an image of how I isolate my ozone from the reactor and skim 100%
I have looked at that set up for three days from all angles and all I can come up with is the skimmer must be external and those container drain from the bottom slowly while the skimmer skims from the top. Is that even close to how that works?? I have a few more questions about the reservoir set up but I'll ask those later.

I'm in the process of cycling a 210 as we speak and I have the ability right now to make changes and do just about anything to the system I want too. Could you give me a brief of how your set up works as far the continuous water change. What I think I understand about part of it is your whole tank drains into a reservoir that drains off the top inch or so of water. I got that from the power shutting off thread. Then what happens could you take me threw the different stations of your system from there? Take me back to the tank again.

The idea was to keep oxidising water out of my reactor.
While getting as much contact time with the ozone.
