Thanks for chiming in so much Skins. Seems nobody else has anything to say about my reef.

I actually got a new fishie tonight. It's in my Frag Tank, but I will post up here. A friend had her but she was getting bullied, so she came with me "free to a good home"

She never hid, didn't even run behind a rock. She's such an active swimmer I don't know if I will ever get a good picture of her.

LOL you have a cool tank and I try to follow all the cool tank threads as I stumble across them. I may be a bit more partial to yours because I have the same size tank too.

So whats your key to SPS?

I guess the single biggest things are consistency and a mighty fuge. I maintain <0.1 PPM Nitrates. My additives are never changed, I use Ocean's Blend 2-part (it's the best there is) and it's on a dosing system going in at 3AM and 3PM. My lighting is Phoenix 250 with Geiseman Actinic+ supplementation. Otherwise just a lot of flow. I'm turning it over well over 50 times per hour.

Just wanted to put up a couple of progression pictures. I got both of these Acroporae on 12/12/10 and now, just 17 days later there is already a notable change.

Your tank has made an incredible recovery since the move. I would love to be able to do what you do with acro. I just need to get some more acro lol. Do you credit your fuge with most of your success? I have one plumbed into my 180 just haven't added any cheato to it yet as there is no coral in the tank just a ton of rock and 3 fish. I also cannot find cheato here in Leesburg. Anyway, I love the tank. Always did like your setup. A unique one for the record books.

I will hook you up with a hunk of chaeto this weekend when you come by. It's time to trim it back anyway. I think even more than the fuge I attribute my success t consistency. Try to keep every aspect of your tank as constant as you can.

He has a bit of red to his coloration, but it seems to have faded a little bit since he acclimated to the tank. Maybe he was just realy excited with his new home!!!!
