It all started with my purchase of a corner drilled 120 before I moved from GA. The intent was to have a build like I haven’t had before, upgraded LEDs, gyres, and a legit sump.

However, upon arrival, the bottom glass cracked so I had to replace the tank. Unfortunately, the replacement is not drilled, so I had to scrap the sump idea for now. (I just couldn’t wait any longer to get water in the tank)

Fast forward one month and my wife wants the tank moved. So I tear apart her coffee bar and move my tank.

So for equipment I’m running the 120 on a white powder coated aluminum frame. (2) AI Hydra 26s and a jabeo gyre.

Also after watching a couple videos and seeing other threads, I attempted the diy mess tops for the tank.

We’ll see how it progresses, but I’m happy with the start for now.

Looks good. I will be interested in seeing how it runs with no sump. I had a couple of marine tanks in my days with no real filtration (other than the rock and life), but they were all basically nanos or picos.
