My sister will argue to death that it is proper English.

needs and washed are both verbs. You can have "helping verb" like am is are was were be being been. be (helping verb) washed (action verb)

the northeast says "these ones or those ones" instead of these or those and they also say that something is "all" when its gone instead of saying its all gone. my girlfriend does it all the time and i hate it.

My 8th grade teacher tought us that and anyone who had his class... no matter what age they are now, can recite that like it was junior high all over.

One that drives me nuts is when people can't use there, their, and they're properly. While we are on grammar. I realize sometimes in forums that it's a typo but more times than not they just don't have a clue. :xd:
