Let me know how yours looks when it arrives. Are they building a stand for you as well?

I asked for the upgrade on size since they turned down the 800$

if they can get me a tank before end of OCT that is too standard I’ll be happy.
Will do, I'll start a thread for it once/if they send me some build pictures.

I have them building the steel stand for it. It was 10% off which put it very close to the price it cost me for my 180g before, also gets that 5 year guarantee which is nice. I'm interested to see the epoxy coating they do on it as a standard. My last was powder coated.

Good thinking! Upgrade is always nice and will be worth the wait I'm sure. They know you won't except flaws now, so I'd be expecting their best work for sure.

Tank and stand went on a truck today.
I have to say CDAs communication has been much better during this process then the build. I hope by the end of this I will have nothing but positive things to say. I think what a company does when there is problem out ways what the problem was.

Yes I did request them. I’m sure they hate hearing from me. I ask for an update every week once they passed my expected ship date.
Hmm, I'll have to shoot them a message then. I assumed they sent build picture updates but based of the last date they gave me it'd be shipping this week I believe if they are on track.

Edit: Nevermind, I do have an email from them this morning. A flaw in a panel is delaying the completion.

Well at least they caught the flaw in panel instead of you.

Oh man, I'm 2 months ahead of you. What was your quoted timeline? I was 3 months at my time of purchase.
2 to 3 months. I ordered from of the express lane which are supposed to be faster because they are standard sizes. I also did not order a stand. I hope you get yours soon!

That was my thought, exactly. I asked for build pictures once it is assembled too.

It's good to hear they give priority to resolving issues. Looking forward to seeing your new tank get delivered.

Couple updates.
CDA says tank should ship around the 6th If it ships by the 13th I’ll be happy.

second update. I attempted to acid wash my old rock to unbind any phosphates, I don’t know if it works because the rock looks mostly unchanged. So I said F it. And went to scaping.
Here are a few pictures, this is the first time using acrylic rods and emacro.
I don’t have rock shapes that are easy to work with.

once I clean up and get some rodi made I’ll start curing these in a container.

Looking good. In my experience the acid bath really helps. Did you get a big foam ball filled with a bunch of nasties while doing it?

I scaped mine prior as well. I've had it curing/cycling in a tub for months now with heat and circulation. Although we may be moving now so the build will probably be on hold either way. Looking forward to seeing how this all comes together!
