For SBB it was his first time doing a live sale style and he essentially gave away a ton of corals, but there were some issues with his website slowing down. I spent almost two entire days refreshing his thread. I also spent about 2 weeks before the sale posting on his thread, but I’ve gotten to where I actually enjoy doing it. There is a group of us that participate and just post stupid gifs and coral pics. The gift cards he gives out is just an added bonus.
He said he wasn’t doing another live sale until late summer I think. He does a sale each month and you can definitely grab some great deals but nothing compares to his live sale over the weekend.

So the sbb hype and sales that I have seen were not live sales? I guess it dosent mater much. If users support it that is great. I'll sign up and maybe catch a deal. I have an empty frag tank...

Only his last sale which was his first live sale style where he posts a link to a coral every few minutes.
He only sales corals about once a month where he does a sale. The way he normally does it is that he releases all of the corals on his site, and then the following day he marks the prices down even marking a few down to a few dollars each. Then the following day he marks them down again. Then he marks them down again the next day to their final price. It’s kinda like a game of waiting to see how low the prices will go while hoping no one buys it first.
He rewards staying active on the thread with giftcards, which is somewhat luck getting but I’ve had sales where I’ve gotten several hundred dollars in gift cards.

I have an order coming in from SBB corals next week and I’m excited to get it but worried about where to put them.

I'm really kicking myself for not joining in that livesale and grabbing a Keroppi. I probably would have bought several sticks too though, so I'm glad I didn't. Still having issues keeping them from dying. I've got the Hydrogen Bomb left but it's not looking great...

You really should’ve ordered you were there a lot of the time anyway. Even if you only picked up the allowed amount of $1 corals it was worth the cost of shipping.

If I had won free shipping I would have. I do have $200 for the next sale though. Like you, I'm there for the fun of it more than the sale. My tank is fairly full.

I'm still staying away from torches for now. Maybe when the 125 is up and running and I have more room.

A few months back I got a relatively cheap “tester” torch before I bought any nicer ones. It did fine so that why I picked up 3 more.

I have a hammer. It went from 1 head to 3 in like 2 months. Hasn't split again in the last 4 months. I'm pretty sure I can keep them, I just don't have a lot of open space to keep my other corals safe.

I’m probably going to but it’s a little harder because my tank is against the wall close enough I can’t get my hand behind it. I think I’m going to have to attach a string to the magnet and lower it down behind the tank.

Been there still there. It is actually very nice once you get the hang of lining up the magnets.

Well I got my order from SBB corals in today and and other than a few corals that didn’t make it overall they look good. I also received a shipment of inverts from Reef Cleaners today.

Well again I’m just doing an update for a giveaway. I got a great deal on some dosing pumps from the sale forum. Now I just have to figure out what I want to use them for. I’ve started dosing Acropower so I know one will be for that.

I have absolutely nothing to add about the tank other than I’ve started dosing Acropower, and all of my corals seem happier because of it. I don’t know if it’s the Acropower but my nitrates have now been staying constant between 5-10 which is great. I normally struggled to keep them above 2. I’m not sure if my corals are reacting to the Acropower or extra nutrients but either it’s getting results.

Also when I got the bottle of Acropower from Amazon the bottle wasn’t sealed, so I contacted Two Little Fishies asking how to make sure what I had was actually Acropower and not someone replacing it with water and returning it to Amazon. So without me asking Two Little Fishies just sent me a replacement bottle. I also learned that Acropower tastes really sweet like sugar water. My wife said it was stupid for me to taste the mystery liquid that I was afraid someone tampered with. Is it sad that I tasted it but wasn’t willing to put it in my tank?
