Well my Christmas present to myself was a new Vectra M1.
Once I installed the Vectra L1 for my closed loop, I could actually hear the Eheim 1262 that I was using for a return pump.
So I decided that I wanted to go with even less noise so the Vectra M1 was going to be the new return pump.

So with the 2 Vectra pumps installed, my biggest noise maker is my skimmer pump. It's a Bubble Blaster 5000. Going to look into something quieter for that.

Gonna get me one of those strips. Mount it on my stand. Very cool!

Yeah, been using them for a few years. Comes in handy.
I found one with blue lighted switches, but replaced it with the red ones. The blue just didn't show up very well in full daylight.
That one in the pictures was $30.

Well my wife got me a gift card for Christmas and I spent it on a new EcoTech light rack.

Looks to be a couple hour job to get them all mounted and the wires concealed.

A few weeks ago I used a Christmas gift certificate from my daughter to Live Aquaria and bought 4 Leopard Wrasses.
I got four ( knowing they don't ship well) and was hoping 3 survived.
Unfortunately 2 didn't make it in quarantine.
But I am happy that I was able to add the remaining 2 to the display tank yesterday.
Here is a picture in the quarantine tank.

My grand daughter also bought me some fake plants for the quarantine tank.
I figured it couldn't hurt so I use them.

A side benefit to adding a couple new fish to the tank, is they are trying to claim a spot on one end of the tank and caused a fish I had not seen in 6-7 months to come out.
It's my Swiss Guard Basslet. I thought it had died. I have not seen it at all in such a long time I had forgotten about it.
However, seeing it lasted only about 3 seconds and was gone. Back to it's hiding place.
It always was very secretive, evn in a much smaller tank.

Got some changes to do to my return pump.
I didn't have the valve I wanted when I first got the new Vectra, but it came in a couple weeks ago and has just been sitting there.
So maybe tomorrow I'll get it installed.
