Well, after watching so many reef build thread I think is time to start my new saltwater tank thread build progress, a 40 Gallons breeder. I'm still on the process of selling my 55 gallons tank with couple of discus and a Angelfish and use that $$ for the new project, that way I can just focus on my new and only tank. The 30 gallons I have with the Mbunas I will sell the fish but will use the tank to build my sump. If you know someone in the Tampa Bay area that would be interested in buying my fish, let me know.
So, I already have the Eshopp Eclipse S overflow, just waiting on the 60mm drill bit to start drilling. Also, just ordered a 3/4 return line from Glass-Holes.com that should be here next week.
Probably this weekend I will start the stand that will be 40L x 36 H x 22 W that way I can fit the 30 gallon sump easy on the bottom with enough space for the skimmer.
I also have two 10 gallons that I will setup for quarantine tank.

Welcome. You will be broke and possibly homeless in short time now!
Oh, I'm already broke...LOL. With two kids, 5 and 6 years old, I have to get on this slowly. I was thinking to keep my Discus and Mbunas but I can't handle many tanks, that why I'm selling those and get the money for this new adventure.

perfect... one display tank and one frag tank, lol
Well, the beginning idea was the 55 for DT and the 30 for QT but I don't like the width of the 55 for DT, reason that I when with a 40 Breeder.

Three 40 breeder does habe a lot of depth to it. I use one as my sump and I believe it's as wide as my 75g DT.

A 30g QT is huge unless you are quaranting large fish, which shouldn't be the case in either a 40 or 55g DT. I have a 10g and a 20g long tank for quarantine... cheaper to run and medicate, lol.

Today, 9/4/17 I drill my first tank that came out pretty good and test the fitting of the Eshopp Eclipse overflow and the return line. Everything came out good.

You made a great choice on the 40b they're the perfect small tanks! And you're 100% correct a 55 has an awful foot print. Honestly 10, 20L, 40b, 75 and 90 are the only sizes under 100 gallons worth buying

That's nice. I just start working on it. Nos i will build the stand and use the 29 gallons for a sump or get a 20 gallon for a sump.

Today 9/23/17 I paint the back black, installed the overflow and return and test for leaking. So far everything came out good.
