I definitely would not add anymore fish to that tank. Thats about max stock in that tank. Also your Yellow tang and blue tang are going to need a much bigger tank when they start growing or they probably wont be very happy.

https://www.liveaquaria.com/product/242/?pcatid=242 your butterfly

https://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+2971+330&pcatid=330 your blue tang

https://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+2971+392&pcatid=392 your yellow tang.

Bearer of bad news:

All 3 are not really suitable for a 46g tank. The butterfly is not reef compatible, but as with all buttterflies they like to munch. It says not compatible, not with caution so I would return him. He will also get much too large for this tank.

The tangs will also need more swimming room, and will get too large. More like a 75g or bigger. 120g even.

Yeah I’m planning on getting a 125G in the very near future. I wouldn’t have gotten them both. Thanks for the concern though really appreciate it!

Aw man :(
I’m definitely upgrading my tank in the near future to a 125G that’s why I purchased the Yellow Tang and Blue Tang. However I had no idea about the butterfly. Thanks so much for the info that would have been unfortunate. I’ll be returning him when I decide to buy some corals or sooner.

The tank is looking good so far Armani, and thanks for the great pictures.

You will find with Tangs, and other fish that they grow quiet quickly. I’ve had a Regal Tang (and have many others as well) for over 2 years and he was tiny when I got him but he must be over 6 inches long now and they are ‘very’ active swimmers and just need lots of space.

Anyway at least you now have an excuse to get a bigger tank!

And welcome to R2R by the way!
